Toyota Motor Corporation was established as a division of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works in 1937 by Kiichiro Toyoda, who had the vision of the era of automobiles to come. Toyota sells a wide range of models in the global market, including the Prius, the world’s first mass-produced hybrid vehicle, which was introduced in 1997. Toyota has set the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, and in order to achieve this goal, the brand is implementing the “Multi Pathway” strategy, which consists of offering every available powertrain to satisfy various customer needs, including hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), hydrogen fuel cell (FCEV) and battery electric (BEV). Toyota continues to accelerate its transformation into a mobility company through electrification, intelligence and diversification to realize “Mobility for All” and to become a company that “mass-produces happiness.”
