Pablo Rosso appointed Chairman of KAIDA

[2020. 3.25. Seoul] The Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA) held General Assembly Meeting of 2020 at Le Meridien Seoul on March 25, 2020, and appointed Pablo Rosso, President & Managing Director of FCA Korea as the 13th Chairman of KAIDA. With the new vice-chairmen(Dimitris Psillakis - President&CEO Mercedes-Benz Korea, Rene Koneberg - Managing Director of Audi Volkswagen Korea, Takemura Nobuyuki - President&CEO of Toyota Motor Korea) and directors(Jung-hyun Baek - Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Korea, Kwang-cheol Kim - CEO of FMK Corp.) of KAIDA, Mr. Rosso will serve as Chairman of KAIDA for two years from April 2020.  Mr. Rosso, the first foreigner Chairman of KAIDA, has served as President & Managing Director of FCA Korea since 2013. Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association High technical skills and transparency are key to the specialized automotive maintenance service industry

[2019. 12. 02] The Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA) has urged a move to consumer-centered policies, emphasizing that proven technical skills and reliable transparency are critical for the automotive maintenance service industry. This is with a view to designating the specialized automotive maintenance service industry as the industry suitable for supporting small business owners. Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association “Expressed deep concern about the designation of used car sales business as an industry suitable for the livelihood of small business owners”

[2019. 11. 05] The Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA) expressed its concern ahead of reviewing designation of used car sales business as the industry suitable for the livelihood of small business owners that priority was not being sufficiently given to consumer safety and welfare. KAIDA suggested policy support and institutional guarantee for quality management system. In addition, KAIDA urged relevant government agencies that such review may promote the continuous development of the used car sales business, which is based on customers’ trust. KAIDA noted that safety and rights of consumers have not been adequately considered during discussions between industry and related government agencies on the designation of industry suitable for the livelihood of small business owners. 283 Imported Commercial Vehicles newly registered in December

  [2019. 1. 15] The Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA) announced that 283 imported commercial vehicles were newly registered in December 2018. The number of newly registered commercial vehicles in December were MAN 64 units, Mercedes-Benz 48 units, Volvo trucks 115 units, Scania 42 units, and Iveco 14 units.
