KAIDA Started to Compile Official Statistics on New Imported Commercial Vehicle Registration
Five imported commercial vehicle sellers that officially sell their cars in Korea have signed up, such as Daimler Trucks Korea, MAN Truck & Bus Korea, Volvo Trucks Korea, Scania Korea Seoul, CNH Industrial Korea. As a result, new registration of those five motor companies’ cars (cargo and tractor of Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, MAN, Scania, and Volvo Trucks) will be counted and released every month from January 2017. “We’re glad we can help the domestic and overseas industry as well as related organizations in understanding the market, by compiling and providing statistics on imported commercial vehicles. KAIDA will continue to provide useful data and statistics to the car industry,” said Daesung Yoon, Executive Managing Director of the KAIDA. 19 companies that import and sell cars in Korea have signed up the KAIDA (14 passenger car and 5 commercial vehicle sellers). In addition, the KAIDA has been compiling statistics on imported car registration based on the data compiled from car registration in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport since 2003, and will add statistics on imported commercial vehicle registration in 2017. |
